The Wonderettes are back! This seasonal celebration finds the girls entertaining at the annual Harper’s Hardware Holiday Party. When Santa turns up missing, the girls use their talent and creative ingenuity to save the holiday party! Featuring great ’60s versions of holiday classics such as “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Run, Rudolph, Run,” and “Winter Wonderland,” the result is, of course, marvelous! This energetic and glittering holiday package is guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages.

Meet the Cast

  • Kate Fahrner*

     Kate Fahrner [She/her] (Missy) is very excited to be performing at ART Station for the first time! Atlanta Credits include White Christmas and Music Man at City Springs. Kate has been seen playing Glinda in both the Chicago and Broadway companies of Wicked. After a long career where Kate was seen around the country in such shows as Kinky Boots, Fun Home, Newsies, Born Yesterday, Cats and many more, Kate is so happy to have settled down here in Atlanta.

  • Chelcy Cutwright

    [She/her] (Cindy Lou) is an Atlanta based actor and teaching artist. She is a graduate from American Musical Dramatic Academy.  Favorite theatre credits include: Shug Avery in The Color Purple, Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls, Truvy Jones in Steel Magnolias (Springer Opera House), Amelia Sedley in Vanity Fair (Georgia Ensemble Theatre), Deena Jones in Dreamgirls, (Red Mountain Theatre), and Suzanne in Amelie (Horizon Theatre).  She sends love to her Mom and Grandma for their constant support.   • Avani Lesane

    [She/her] (Betty Jean) is thrilled to be working with The Art Station for the first time! Avani has studied film and media at Georgia State University and has been a life-long lover of the performing arts. She has been acting on stage since the age of 3, making her theatrical debut in Stephenson High School’s production of The Wiz. Proud alum of Youth Ensemble of Atlanta, Avani continued to perform in and around Atlanta throughout her formative years. Recent credits include: Brightstar (Georgia Ensemble Theatre), Calendar Girls (Act3 Productions), and Zombie Prom (Marietta Theatre Company).

  • Molly Ann Tucker

    [She/her] (Suzy) is thrilled to be making her ART Station debut with Winter Wonderettes. Molly is an Atlanta based performer, playwright, and director who graduated with her BFA in musical theater from Ohio University. Previous Atlanta credits: Hairspray (Out Front Theater), 9 to 5 (Woodstock Arts) and Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Horizon Theater). Previous regional credits: Dusk: A Bite Size Love Story and #NoFilter (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Throuples Counseling (Arts West), and Spring Awakening (Tantrum Theater). While at Ohio University, she premiered her show Maggie’s Convent, which she wrote, directed, and starred in. Much love to her amazing parents for their endless support.     Hollis Smith (costumer) Has an extensive background in theatre and fine arts. He is continuously working today with film and television productions, helming costume departments for everything from small budget short films and appearances to the largest Marvel productions in the southeast. For local theatres, he has directed, managed productions, not to mention often performing himself.

    Hollis is excited to bring his experience to ART Station for Winter Wonderettes.

  • David Thomas

    David Timothy Thomas (Founder, President, Artistic Director) David founded the ART Station Contemporary Arts Center and Theatre Company over 39 years ago. He has directed over 400 theatre productions for ART Station, lead the Artis-tic Direction for hundreds of art exhibitions and has provided the direction for the award-winning summer arts camp and the summer performance programs. He is the founder of A TOUR OF SOUTHERN GHOSTS, a storytelling festival held at Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park. David is a graduate of Leadership DeKalb, the IBM Leadership Institute and the Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta. He has served on the advisory panels of the DeKalb Council for the Arts, the Fulton County Arts Council, South Arts, the City of Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment for the Arts. David’s formal theatre training is from the North Carolina School of the Arts, a BA degree in theatre from Appalachian State University, two Master of Fine Arts degrees in theatre directing and arts administration from Virginia Tech School of Theatre and Cinema. David serves on the faculty of the theatre program at Georgia Military College, (Stone Moun-tain campus). davidt@artstation.org.

  • Michael Hidalgo

    Michael Hidalgo (Co-Founder, Producing Director/Scenographer) is one of the original founders of ART Station and has served as the resident designer for the past 38 seasons. Michael oversees the marketing, development & general management of the organization. He is a graduate of Leadership DeKalb, the Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta and a Virginia Tech Alumni. michaelh@artstation.org.

  • Hollis Smith

  • Elliot Collinson

    Elliott Collinson (Stage Manager) Elliott first became involved with ART Station many decades ago as a student and is thrilled to be back for Wild Women of Winedale. Previously, Elliott served as Assistant Stage Manager for The Savannah Sipping Society and as a tour guide for A TOUR OF SOUTHERN GHOSTS storytelling Festival.

    Elliott is also a regular volunteer at SMV Market and hopes to see you there on the first or third Saturday of the month.

  • Travis Mixon

    Travis Mixon (Assistant Stage Manager) has been working at the ART Station for 3 years. This is his 5th show. He also works as the ART Station bartender and serves on the Youth Advisory Council. During the month of October, Travis acts as a Guide for the Tour of Southern Ghosts.

  • Liza Jaine

    Liza Jaine (Marketing Director) has a professional theatre career that spans over 30 years including a dozen award winning productions, 3 national tours, and two world premieres. She graduated cum laude from Columbia University and summa cum laude from Johns Hopkins University. She holds a brown belt in Muay Thai, trained with SWAT instructors to master on screen police proce-dures, has a love of wire work, and one day wants to learn to be a stunt driver, though parallel parking continues to vex her. Liza is mother to an incredible child named Wyatt who challenges her every day to do the best she can.
