ART Station Theatre in Stone Mountain AUDITIONS

For EQUITY and NON-UNION actors for its production of:

WORKING: a Musical: from the book by Studs Terkel, adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso, with additional contributions by Gordon Greenburg. Songs by Craig Carnelia, James Taylor, Micki Grant, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stephen Schwartz, Mary Rodgers, and Susan Birkenhead.

DIRECTED BY: Artistic Director, David Thomas

PRODUCTION DATES: July 23, 2026 – August 2, 2026

REHEARSAL DATES: June 23, 2026 – July 22, 2026 (week off June 29 – July 6)

All actors are paid weekly for rehearsal and performance weeks

AEA receive an SEA contract  (Shared Equity Agreement Contract)

-The first audition will be held by video submissions

-If you have submitted before, there is no need to resubmit

-We encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply

SEEKING (all actors play multiple characters, and need to be able to read music)

-Tenor, vocal range C3 – B4, playing ages 20 – late 30s

-Bari-tenor, vocal range C3 – G4, playing ages 30 – late 40s

-Baritone, vocal range G2 – E4, playing ages 50 – late 60s

-Mezzo Soprano, vocal range A3 – F5, playing ages 20 – late 30s

-Alto, vocal range E3 – E5, playing ages 30 – late 40s

-Alto/Mezzo, vocal range F3 – E5, playing ages 40 – late 50s

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS (VIDEO SUBMISSIONS ONLY):

-One-Minute light dramatic monologue

-16-Bars of a Ballad (in appropriate range for character track you are correct for)

-Please include vocal range (example G3 – E5)

-Deadline is April 3, 2026
