On Christmas eve, the storm of 1901 threatens the Georgia Golden Isles, home of Geechee, Creek, Spanish, and Scotch-Irish islanders. Five women gather together for a Ceilidh to wait out the storm’s natural and supernatural forces. The turn of the cards, some luck, faith, and a visit from a mysterious stranger, will change their lives forever. Will they be able to secure — together — a new world freedom that has evaded them so far when the storm finally clears?
