Keena Redding is delighted to be back on the ART Station stage and again working with Out Front Theatre on this co-production of The Pink Unicorn. She is the Director of Development and the Director of Equity & Impact at Horizon Theatre. A member of the 2021 National Art Equity Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) Leadership Circle, she is also an actress, singer, teacher, playwright, director, music director, and activist. Keena has a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from The University of Florida; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Music and an
Opera Certificate, both from Brenau University. She was last seen onstage in December 2021 as Ebby Scrooge in Creative Conspiracy’s Concert Production of The Salvation of Ebby Scrooge at Horizon Theatre. Other notable recent shows include Georgia Ensemble Theatre’s critically-acclaimed productions of Morningside and On the Verge. She has also performed lead roles at Atlanta Lyric, Horizon Theatre, Alliance Theatre, and Georgia Shakespeare. Keena served as music director for Waffle Palace Christmas (2019) and Madeline’s Christmas (8 years) at Horizon
Theatre. The World Premiere virtual reading of Keena’s new play The Bullet, directed by national director Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj and featuring a powerhouse cast of Atlanta actors, was presented as part of Theatrical Outfit’s & Working Title Playwrights 2022 Unexpected Play Festival. She is founder and lead teacher at Hummingbird Studios, a voice and acting studio where she assists award-winning students with their singing technique, acting skills, and audition performance.
