One Man Christmas Carol, December 16 – 20, 2015

Featuring Bill Oberst, Jr. with musicians Patrick Hutchison and Tony Hayes

Bill Oberst, Jr.’s passionate performance of A Christmas Carol is as true to Dickens as can be…for a version done with only one actor in the cast! The show is a faithful, frantic, and frequently funny telling of the 1843 novella in what Oberst jokingly refers to as “slightly abridged.” What is not abridged is the language. Even while jumping madly about and assuming different identities, Oberst speaks Dickens’ original and eloquent text, which is dense, rich, and immensely satisfying, “like chocolate mousse to the ear,” he says.

“Oberst is a superb actor with an appreciation for both language and history.” –The Sun News
