ART Station, a contemporary arts center in the heart of Historic Stone Mountain Village, is a place where art is an activity rather than a spectator sport.  Our  facility includes classrooms, a dance studio, two private music rehearsal rooms, and a pottery studio. Educational opportunities range from the amateur to the professional level, and are taught by instructors who are themselves well-respected, professional artists.

All ART Station programs are designed to support and nurture creativity for all ages while conforming to the busy work-week schedule. Accordingly, there are many programs, short and long term from which to choose.

Opportunities range from classes, travel opportunities, arts seminars for corporate and business people, ART Camps, and ART Teams to cultural packages for schools and other clubs and organizations.

ART Station has received the Abby Award for Excellence in Arts Education awarded by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, & was rated “Best Art Instruction for Kids” by Atlanta Magazine, voted “Best Place to Make Your Own Art” by atlanta.citysearch.com, Comcast Community Award, Gannett Community Award, & the Cranium Award for Excellence in Education.

Summer Education Staff

Fawn has been part of the ART Station family since 2012 when she was accepted into SMart, Inc. (Stone Mountain Arts Incubator) as a glass artist. This allowed her to have a studio and gallery presence on Main St in Stone Mountain Village. Before then she was a frequent exhibitor in art festivals and taught art and drama classes in a private school. Her favorite mediums are glass and fabric.

Nancy is the art camp’s pottery instructor. With 40 years of experience, including time spent at Chastain Arts Center, she is accomplished in multiple mediums. However, her favorite is 3D art and creating whimsical pieces with clay.

Liza has been a professional actor since 1987, performing in several national tours and regionally as well as on screen with ABC, Disney, HBO, HULU, BET, multiple films and too many commercials to count. With over 20 years teaching experience at studios across the country as well as within the public and private school systems, Liza brings her passion for education, extensive knowledge, and love of kiddos to the program. She is an Ivy League graduate with a Masters from Johns Hopkins, as well as a mother to an incredible nine year old and a teaching artist with the Arvold Warner Studio.
