Choose to Entertain

Looking for a great place to hold a party, family-reunion, wedding and reception, memorial service, anniversary party? ART Station is the perfect setting for a variety of functions.

ART Station is a contemporary arts center housed in a 18,500 square foot turn-of-the-century historic structure. The “Trolley Car Barn” was built by the Georgia Railway and Power Company and served as the terminus for the “Atlanta Rapid Transit” (thus the ART in the ART Station name) trolley line that ran from Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta to Stone Mountain. Today the building serves as a contemporary arts center housing a theatre, five art galleries, gift shop; rehearsal, dance, ceramics, and music studios, class rooms, conference room and catering kitchen.

There are a variety of rental opportunities at ART Station. ART Station staff members make every effort to handle many types of requests and events.

The intimate ART Station Theatre seats 120 and is a great space for weddings, commitment ceremonies, fashion shows, play readings, sales presentations, dance and piano recitals… the possibilities are endless.

The ART Station Main Gallery is the perfect setting for large gatherings: including political and school fund-raisers, retirement parties, holiday parties…just about any type event you can think of. The galleries are filled with contemporary art exhibitions that rotate every other month. The galleries can comfortably accommodate 250 – 300 people for a stand-up type reception. There are two bars in the building: one in the Main Gallery and one in the Trolley Stop Gallery.

``The first rave goes to the setting. ART Station has a feel about it; active welcoming and inspirational!`` -Atlanta Journal Constitution

If it’s a party you want…

ART Station has the space. The rehearsal hall can even be converted into a disco dance room. If you just need a place to hold a meeting, or have a wedding, baby shower, or small birthday party, our small conference room makes the perfect setting with beautiful art work on the walls and the room sets just under the historic loft where electricity was generated for the Trolley Car Lines. Classrooms and the dance studio are also available on an hourly rental basis.

ART Station is not caterer specific, meaning you can bring in your own food, or pick the caterer of your choice. The ART Station staff is very familiar with local caterers and will be happy to suggest just the right group to handle your event. Catering tables, party chairs and a large capacity ice machine are available at no extra charge. Renters must, however, provide their own linens.

ART Station can provide both “cash” and “open” bar options. Cash bars are restricted to beer and wine only. Open bars may provide liquor on a “give away” basis only.

“If you want to host or have a party/event in a stunningly visual and intimate setting, we highly recommend the ART Station in beautiful Historic Stone MountainVillage. We had our 25th anniversary there inviting our friends, family and co-workers. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with set-up ideas and suggested a wonderful DJ they had previously utilized. What an invaluable resource in aiding to immortalize our special time and occasion. Subsequently our guests are “talking-up” future events to host at the ART Station as well as adding beautiful pieces to their art collections.”
