ART Station proudy presents "A Tour of Southern Ghosts" |
|
Atlanta's favorite
family Halloween event will be presented for the 25th year by "A Tour of Southern Ghosts" is a storytelling festival that showcases the best ghost stories from the South. For 12 nights this fall, some 15,000 visitors will be guided on a lantern-lit tour of yesteryear vividly brought to life through the grand tradition of Southern storytelling.
Nestled
against the backdrop of Stone Mountain, costumed storytellers - all attired
in 19th-century period costumes - recreate the romance, the horror and
humor of the past with a magically bewitching bend. These professional
storytellers are from different cultural backgrounds and tell a collection
of Southern folktales, myths and legends. Join the Atlanta family
tradition and meet professional storytellers spinning their tales of famous
(and not so famous) Southern Ghosts along the lantern-lit paths of the
Antebellum Plantation grounds at Stone Mountain Park. "A Tour of Southern
Ghosts" is held during the Halloween season so the stories are a little
scary, many
times humorous, but never too frightening and always appropriate for young children. |
